IntroductionIn
1996, world-renowned automobile manufacturers (BMW, Daimler-Chrysler, Fiat, Ford, General Motors (including Opel Vauxhall), PSA Peugeot-Citroen, Renault SA, Volkswagen and their respective trade associations-AIAG (US), ANFIA (Italy ), FIEV (France), SMMT (UK) and VDA (Germany) constitute the International Automotive Task Force, the IATF. In the same year, the quality management system standards common to the automotive industry were formulated.
In October 1999, the IATF formally submitted to the ISO International Organization for Standardization to approve and publish the ISO/TS 16949 draft. The official version was released in March 2002. In June 2009, it was revised to the third edition.
The fourth edition in October 2016 is IATF16949:2016, which is officially decoupled from ISO. So everyone must have a recognition that this ISO/TS 16949:2009 conversion to IATF 16949:2016 is that the IATF International Automotive Working Group will be in the automotive industry. Requirements for the auditee
IATF 16949: 2016 certification registration, only for automotive OEMs and their direct component manufacturers. These manufacturers must be directly related to the production of automobiles, with processing and manufacturing capabilities, and through the realization of this capability, the products can add value.
Companies that require IATF 16949:2016 certification registration must have a minimum of 12 consecutive months of production and quality management records and a one-year KPI record, including a complete record of internal reviews and management reviews.
